SAFETY AND INSURANCE

GENERAL EVE RULES

 

  1. CLOTHING: 

    • All persons whilst riding at EVE, must wear current approved AUSTRALIAN SAFETY STANDARDS HORSE RIDING HELMETS and properly heeled riding boots. 

    • All Vaulters whilst working on a horse, must wear appropriate snug fitting clothes and vaulting appropriate shoes as well as a current approved AUSTRALIAN SAFETY STANDARDS HORSE RIDING HELMETS (Exception: advanced Vaulting participant who have signed an appropriate waiver after receiving extensive training, are allowed to vault without a helmet at their own risk)

    • All persons whilst lunging at EVE must wear riding or working gloves. 

    • Children under the age of 16 years must wear helmets when in near proximity of any horse.

  1. GATES:  Farm Rules apply: ALWAYS LEAVE A GATE AS FOUND: if open, leave it open, if closed ALWAYS close after use.

  2. CHILDREN:  Children must be always kept under strict supervision and seated outside riding arena only. Running is not permitted.  Children under 12 years of age must be always accompanied by an adult. 

  3. SMOKING:  Smoking is prohibited in all areas, except in the public car park area. Cigarette butts must not be dropped anywhere and must be disposed of safely and with consideration to other users at the facility.

  4. INJURED RIDERS:   If a rider is in danger or is injured, notify Staff immediately. In the case of a suspected serious injury, call 000 AMBULANCE, administer first aid if trained and remain with person until ambulance arrives. All injuries no matter how small must be reported to Melanie and an incident report form filled out.

  5. PHOTOGRAPHY: EVE allows the use of photography (still and video) by Staff, Members and Clients if the camera’s flash device is not activated.  The use of photographs by EVE of children under the age of 16 years will not published without prior permission from their parent/guardian.

  6. SOCIAL MEDIA:  Any Member or Client of EVE posting negative or derogatory remarks about EVE, its Staff on Social Media sites (including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, and Horse Forum sites), will be asked to seek a new riding school for future lessons.

  7. VEHICLE ACCESS: no vehicle access to any laneway and paddocks. Parking in the designated Car/Float Park only.

  8. ABUSE OF ANIMALS: will not be tolerated and will be reported.

  9. SHED & TIE UP area to be properly cleaned when vacated.

​RULES OF RIDING

​

1.     All lesson fees are payable prior to commencing lesson.

2.     A cancellation made less than 24 hours and more than 3 (three) hours before a lesson, is charged $30.00, less than 3        (three) hours’ notice is charged full price.

3.     All riders must sign a disclaimer, waiver and medical form before they first ride at EVE.

4.     Horses working in walk or halting must move to the inside track.

5.     Horses working in trot or canter must pass left hand to left hand.

6.     Riders must alert other riders for TRACK FREE, when performing lateral movements. Other riders must respect the riders’ request for FREE TRACK.

7.     All manure your horse has dropped must be picked up from the arena after you finish riding.

8.     Only RIDERS / VAULTERS and INSTRUCTORS are allowed in the arena.  All spectators should use the seating outside.

ARENA RULES 

​

  1.  Lessons take priority at all times; lunging is at the discretion of the instructor giving the lesson.

  2.  Faster paces have right of way on outside track. Walk inside track

  3.  Left track before right track.

  4.  Adjustment of equipment must be done inside one of the 20m Circles.

  5.  Lateral work has right of way

  6.  BE AWARE of the effect you, your horse and equipment ie. whips have on other horses and riders

  7.  Put away any equipment used

  8.  Pick up any droppings your horse leaves

ALL our Coaches are Equestrian Australia certified and insured.

ALL our "Helpers" have a valid Working With Children Check and a current First Aid Certificate.
